I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, since January 2007 in the Artificial Intelligence field. My main research areas regard signal classification and recognition, with particular emphasis to the Olfactory Signal Processing and Brain Computer Interfaces fields. In October 2006 I received a Msc in Telecommunications Engineering - Signal Processing from the Politecnico di Milano. The master thesis proposed a tool to diagnose lung cancer by the analysis of the olfactory signal acquired through an electronic nose. I received a Bsc from the Politecnico di Milano in Telecommunications Engineering, in March 2004, with a thesis titled “Genomic Signal Processing: identification of exons in DNA sequences by an analysis in the frequency domain”.
